I want to thank you for taking the time to visit this website. It is my hope that you will find more than just words, faces and information. If you look closer, you will see a family; a people that God has brought together in love and in fellowship. We all come from different backgrounds and different walks of life. At Grace you will find people who genuinely care about each other. That is why I call this church the "Grace Family". In this family, it doesn't matter how rich or poor you may be. The color of your skin does not determine your acceptance. Status in life is irrelevant here. The only thing that matters is the common bond we all share: the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives and that we passionately seek to know Him!
My wife Christie of 13 years and my little girl Hallee (6) have been blessed to be a part of the Shreveport Community going on five years! We were like many young pastors taking their first church; scared, timid, bashful, yet optimistic and most of all hungry to see the Holy Spirit do a work in Shreveport. We have witnessed an innumerable amount of notable miracles over the last few years. From sicknesses healed to life changes, marriages restored, lives put back together, and on and on it goes... All I can say is, WOW! To God be the glory!
If you are browsing this site, thinking of going to church, please come by and worship at Grace Tabernacle. I'd love the priviledge of meeting you personally and getting to know you a littler better. Please take a look at the service schedule or give us a call. There is always something going on around Grace. It is my belief that every person should both be blessed by God and be a blessing to the family of God. Grace Tabernacle isn't a church where people come and get saved and sit until they die. We try very diligently to plug you into a ministry that best fits you and the rest of the church! About the Hill Family
Pastor Steve grew up in Tennessee in a smal rural farm town. In 1992, he met Shreveport native, Christie Yates at Indiana Bible College in Indianapolis, Indiana. The friends started a relationship a couple of years after meeting. They have now been married 13 years and have one little girl named Hallee Nichole. Hallee is now six years old. The Hill's are living out their call from God by pastoring the Family of Grace Tabernacle. They love people and, more specifically, helping people find life and meaning and discipleship in Jesus Christ.
